Computer issues may vary from issues that can be solved within a matter of minutes to those that may requires hours of troubleshooting.

It may be operating system related, application related or hardware issues. Hardware related issues normally requires on-site troubleshooting & due to instability exhibited, it may sometimes be mistaken as virus infection.

We provide on-site support for all your computer related problems. For our customers that have maintenance service contract with us, we also provide the option of troubleshooting software-related issues that you are facing via remote administration tool thus saving you the waiting time required for us to be on-site.

Most application related issues can be solved remotely while operating system & hardware related issues are harder to solve without physical access to the system.

When logging a service request, it would be advisable to be as specific as possible so that our engineers are able to prepare the parts required to solve common hardware issues without making multiple trips.

In cases where the system keeps rebooting itself, pressing F8 after the POST completes will show a list of options like Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking. Selecting Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure will display the blue screen with the error message & error code.

Having this code will help us determine the possible cause of failure & allow us to prepare the necessary parts to bring on-site.

Some examples:-

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA is an indication of faulty RAM although it can also be due to faulty driver or hard disk failure. Unexplained lockups or system freezes are also indication of memory failure.

Boot error "NTLDR is missing error" or "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt C:windowssystem32configsystem" right after POST is an indication of hard disk issue that can be corrected through replacing of the faulty drive or in some cases with a disk check. Missing NTLDR can also be due to NTFS formatted external flash drive that are connected to the system\'s USB port & system is configured to boot from it.

By being as specific as possible, it would greatly reduces the time required to troubleshoot the issue & thus reducing the service call cost.

In cases of virus infection, logging in a service call earlier will reduce the possibility of virus downloading additional payloads to the infected system & prevent it from spreading through your network.
